Yetunde Kakulu is on
the board of directors of Keystone
Bank, and the Isanlu in Yagba Area of
Kogi State-born banker is one of the
lynch-pins of the bank.
Until about two years ago, she was the
bank’s divisional head in the north.
Presently, the 40 years old graduate of
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, heads
the Uganda arm of Keystone where she
protects the bank’s interests in East
Africa from Kampala.
Sources claim that the mother-of-four
enjoyed a romantic tryst with Pastor John Aiyedogbon who was formerly a Redeemed Church
pastor in Kaduna, and who she romantically calls “touch-not-my-anointed”-in a scene that
devastated her then husband, Edmund Kakulu when he got to know about the love affair in
Kaduna where the couple lived.
Before the discovery about three years ago, Edmund who is in his late 40s and is a distributor
with popular cosmetics firm, Top Class Beauty Products had doted on his wife, Yetunde and
their four children. It was said that he brought her to Kaduna, and he is the man that
deflowered her.
They owned properties together, two choice houses and a popular gym centre, Gym Zone at
Gwari Avenue, all in Kaduna. They lived at Barnawa Close around Barnawa Shopping
Complex. Their children attend one of the best schools in the state, Dambo International School.
The eldest is 17 years old and his name is Richard Kakulu.
However, Yetunde’s alleged affair with their church pastor rent the happy couple asunder. It
was even made worse when she allegedly confessed to Edmund that it was only once Pastor
Aiyedogbon slept with her after much pressure.
Orijoreporter was told that the entire church was turned upside down when the scandal broke.
Yetunde was just one of the 18 women who had an “adventure” with Pastor Aiyedogbon. The
Redeemed Christian Church of God headquarter in Lagos intervened, and in the wake of the
crisis dismissed the randy pastor from the church.
However, Pastor Aiyedogbon has since set up his own church, Covenant Grace Centre in the
same Kaduna. The church, which is at Sabo is close to Christ Ambassador.
When orijoreporter put it to the supposed man of God that he tore apart the marriage of a
couple who were members of his congregation, and allegedly slept with several other female
members of the church on the phone, he didn’t deny or confirm the allegation. His response
was that the matter is in court, and he would not talk on the phone.
His word: “I don’t discuss with anybody…the matter is in court…don’t be involved.”
But investigation by orijoreporter was to the contrary. It revealed that the court had long ruled
in favour of the defendant, Edmund, who was taken to court by his wife when he refused to
bury their differences.
Inside sources said that while Pastor Aiyedogbon was having issues with Redeemed Church over
the matter, Edmund and Yetunde’s home ground became a battle field. The tug-of-war resulted
into Yetunde seeking for divorce.
And after a long legal battle between the estranged couple, the Kaduna High Court about three
months ago in its verdict ordered Yetunde to pay Edmund N3m as compensation for their
properties, which Yetunde confiscated.
It was further gathered that a month after the adultery fuelled tear-up, Yetunde remarried. The
lucky man is Mr. Emmanuel Yusuf, the Chief Probation Officer in Kaduna High Court, who she
met during her court case, and they hit it off straight away.
It was also said that after Yetunde married Yusuf, she was deeply ashamed of her marital
scandal as she became the butt of some very unkind jokes among colleagues, friends and
relations in Kaduna. This made her to influence her transfer to Uganda to get her groove back.
When our reporter called Yetunde severally on her MTN line, which she uses in both Nigeria
and Uganda to verify the story at 8.59pm Nigerian time yesterday, her response was not
audible.
